Parent-Teacher Organization Meeting Recap!
Posted Date: 09/25/26 (03:20 PM)
In case you missed it! Here are some of the things we talked about during our meeting yesterday.
We are trying to brainstorm some projects we can take on to celebrate the holidays coming up!
Events happening we can base projects off: Hispanic Heritage Month, Indigenous Month/Thanksgiving (November), and Christmas (December). Thoughts/Ideas? Send them our way or come to our next meeting!
🐾 WE’D LOVE YOUR HELP! 🐾
There are lots of ways to get involved and support our Banneker families and students! If you’re interested in volunteering, we’d love to have you join us. 💙🏃♀️ Jog-A-Thon
Our grade levels will be running laps around the school and competing to see who can run the most! We’re looking for volunteers to help pass out refreshments and ice pops to students once they finish. 🍧📅 October 15th
⏰ 9:00–11:30 AM
Interested in helping? Reach out to Ana Sanchez or come to our next meeting!
👕 Community Closet
We’re working on creating a Community Closet at Banneker where families can access clothing and other items whenever they need them. We’d love some extra hands to help us sort through clothing, brainstorm how we want to organize everything, and get the closet ready for families! If you’d like to help, let us know! We can work together to find volunteer days and times that work for you. 💙
🐾 Parent Celebrations
We want to find even more ways to celebrate and appreciate our amazing Banneker parents! Last year, we started our “Paw-Some Parent” certificates, where staff and teachers can recognize parents who go the extra mile, support their child’s learning, or make a positive difference in our school community.Have an idea for how we can celebrate our parents? We’d love to hear it! 🎉
Our next meeting to discuss Jog-A-Thon and other parent projects will be October 8th from 4:30pm-5:30pm in the school library. Join virtually through this link:
